We are a family run business passionate about engaging with the local community and creating unforgettable moments. Our belief is that excellent produce does not travel and we pride ourselves on using the finest that Suffolk and Norfolk have to offer.
Taking over the business in 2022, our ambition is to create a truly immersive experience where you can both feel at home after a long day of meetings or spoil yourself as part of an indulgent staycation.
With eleven beautifully decorated and well equipped bedrooms nestled next to our intimate restaurant, situated at the heart of this original coaching inn. The wooden beams and hypnos beds come together in merging the old with the new.

As a fantastic hub to utilise the surrounding area, being only 35 minutes from Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Thetford. The Suffolk coastline 45 minutes and the quaint market town of Diss 10 minutes up the road. Situated on the A140 makes The Auberge both accessible and convenient for the surrounding area.

Restaurant
You can almost hear the history talk to you through the beams here at The Yaxley Bull, our signature restaurant at The Auberge. Holding 2 rosettes for culinary excellence, it has become a destination for locals and travellers alike. We change our menus at least 4 times a year so be sure to keep an eye out for our seasonal dishes. There will also be exclusive tasting menus for notable dates and special occasions.
Using the finest local produce, we engage with our surroundings and even make use of our wonderful garden to grow elements of our dishes on site. There are delights available for every taste palette and your servers will be happy to recommend a wine for your meal from our every developing list.

Celebrations come in all shapes and sizes, along with celebrating a multitude of different occasions; birthdays, anniversaries, welcoming and losing life.
Our private dining room can comfortably accommodate 12 guests, with a maximum capacity of 16, subject to requirements. Set adjacent to the restaurant, with restored oak beams, sliding doors for full privacy if required. It can be the perfect setting to share a moment with your loved ones.
The developed outdoor spaces can seat up to 85 people under a stretch tent up to 150 in a more casual set up.
With a range of packages, our indoor dining room starts from just £45 per person. Outdoor packages can be tailored bespoke to your event, our chefs love firing up the BBQ.
Team Building
Our outdoor space is the perfect way to escape the confines of the office, develop your team and boost the business productivity. Able to accommodate up to 40 delegates for a range of team building activities, we work closely with specialist suppliers to customise your vision of engaging with your team. Our in house expertise will be with you from planning to execution, for a day they won’t forget.
